Sautéed spinach, roasted red peppers, shiitake mushrooms, and artichoke hearts on a bed of fresh spinach, sprinkled with goat cheese and sunflower seeds.

Scallop Hash – $11
A hash of fresh local scallops, onions, potatoes, scallions, and diced red pepper. Drizzled with chipotle sauce and complemented with Pico de Gallo and hints of thyme and lime.

Mussels – $9
Steamed mussels accompanied by a ginger, red curry crème fraîche sauce.

Provolone Cheese Roll – $9
Fresh cut garlic, basil, and sun-dried tomatoes blended with mild cream cheese and wrapped in provolone.

Lobster Bisque – $9
Classic New England bisque, made from scratch in the Friar’s kitchen.

Chef Don’s soup du jour – small bowl $5, large bowl $7
Accompanied with homemade Friar croutons.

Lobster – market price
Another New England classic, boiled lobster, served with vegetable and starch of the day. Nothing fancy, just lobster.

Cioppino – $27
A fresh medley of scallops, shrimp, lobster, mussels, and fish carried in homemade saffron tomato stew, served with crostini and sauce rouille.

Rosemary Skewered Scallops – $22
Local scallops skewed on a fresh stem of rosemary served with mushroom and asiago cheese risotto and chef’s choice of vegetable.

House Steak – $22
Chef Don’s cut of the day, char grilled to your liking served with vegetable and starch of the day.

Fish of the Day – market price
Chef Don’s fresh catch of the day complemented with vegetable as well as starch of the day.

Pork Loin – $22
Savory baked tender pork loin with fresh apple raisin chutney with hints of cinnamon, served with chef’s choice of starch and vegetable.

Vegetable Skewers – $16
For our vegetarian friends, baby bellas, red onions, zucchini, summer squash, green peppers, eggplant, goat cheese and tomatoes, seasoned and cooked to perfection and served with chef’s choice of starch.

 

Pub fare

Friar Simon’s Wings – $9
Crispy baked wings smothered in our own oriental ginger and sesame sauce.

Wheel Sandwich – $11
Your choice of ham and apricot mustard or tuna and thousand island on a house baked roll, with lettuce tomato and onion accompanied with the house sandwich salad.

Philly Cheese Steak – $11
Classic Philly cheese steak with peppers, onions, mushrooms and provolone cheese. Served with the house sandwich salad.

Drunken Burgers – $11
Soaked in English Bass ale, grilled to your liking and served in your choice of the following fashions:
• Sautéed onions and gorgonzola cheese
• Cheddar and apple smoked bacon
• Wild mushrooms, sautéed onion and goat cheese
